If you had perhaps read my entire post you would have seen my suggestion for trying to do a Tombs run. It takes about an hour and a half. I'm sure you could fit that it in ONCE, and you'd make at least 2k. The fact is, a charity isn't needed! If all youneed money for is to buy armor/materials, get Collector's Armor. You can ever get collector's weapons. Those are just as good as most green/rare weapons. Collector's items are exactly for people like you who don't want to spend the time farming and standing LA for hours trying to sell one weapon, so use them! I understand Collector's armor can be considered quite ugly, but just deal with it for the time being and slowly save up money from doing quests and such, and then buy the armor that you want! It's as simple as that.

I wasn't trying to offend you, I just thought this idea was slightly outrageous =P

It's not hard to get all the materials you need to craft armor. Expert/Superior Salvage high end weapons and armor and soon you'll have more than enough materials. Sell the excess - your have your gold for your armor.

You don't have to grind/farm for anything in this game. Unless you want the just for show armor.

Not up for the petition but I do want a "sign" on the /charity beg emote.

You know the whole time you wrote this thread you could have farmed for some cash.

/not signed, it will not stop at here even if implemented it will only encourage begging behaviour/mentality. Imagine having trade spams and begging spams both in town.....

Other ways to make money than running or farming to earn money? Like buying gold off of EBay? Somehow, I think that would be worse.

You guys are forgetting something. Charity is for helping poor people. How do you recognize them? Yes: they are STARVING! Tiny. Thin. Skin and bones! Because they don't have money to buy food! So what do we need first before we start charity? The need to buy... Food!

Ok, this may work quite well! Players should buy food daily or they get hungry. Make food expensive. 2 Weeks not logged on? Your chr's are starving (like your pets in Neo Pets!). 1 Month not logged on? You won't have money to buy enough food anymore! So you need to... Beg! And there's ***CHARITY***

Finally a way to spend our money!

i brought the whole set... along with those stupid steel ignot since making them cause more than buying them. i brought my steel off other players around 250/steel... so that amounts to 32 steel (12 for chest, 8 for leg, 4 each for others). so roughly I spent 8k on steel alone. Armor cost 1.5k each so all 5 pieces together is 7.5k for crafting. luckly i had enough tanned hide from saving up so thats not accounted for in the budget. in total it costed 15.5k to craft my new armor.
I still have around 7k left in my storage for emergency... these 22k I have been saving up for 12 months since the first guildwar came out. Granted that I only play during the weekends and I have 2 other characters with 1.5k armor.

besides, as Vermilion pointed out, this offers an excellent way to introduce new titles!

my oldest character's birthday should be around this week... god I hope i get a mini shrio so i can sell it.
I went broke buying armor for my Assassin and Necromancer in a matter of 15 minutes. I purchased everything from the Material Traders, so there was no discounts for this player. No sir.

That was about... 4 days ago? I now have, sitting in my storage, somewhere around 50k. I have 10 Jadeite in my inventory, any number of cool gold items, and a small pile of Ectoplasms, not to mention more materials such as 2 stacks each of Tanned Hide and Steel.

It's not bragging; it's me trying to figure out how anybody can be poor anymore with that kind of stuff falling from the damn sky. I haven't had to farm, I haven't had to beg or buy. All I did was play, and bam, there it was.

It's called "saving". Now that Factions is out, if you can't get that kind of cash in a few days of questing, it means you need to stop spending so much money on jumk you can practically find laying around or under the nearest chunk of jade seawater.
